MenuShop will not be responsible for any Customs charges that your order might incur if you are ordering from outside the EU.

Payment and invoicing

Menu Shop Europe LTD is based in the United Kingdom, all our prices exclude VAT. If you are a business inside the European Union and you are registered as an Intracomunitary Company, please supply us you VAT Number to be VAT exempt.

Credit or debit card details are required via out secure payment system to finish placing online orders. All major debit and credit cards are accepted (excluding American Express).

We reserve the right to make reasonable charges for work incurred on personalised orders that are then cancelled. 

Payment must be made when the order is placed, or when artwork is approved, for all order placed over the phone or by post. Payment can be made via credit/debit card, postal order, cheque, banker's draft or direct money transfer.

There is no extra charge for paying by credit card.

We cannot allow COD payments as we use a third party carrier to deliver your goods.

How secure is the Menushop website?

Security is the main consideration for online purchasing which is why we take security very seriously at Menushop.

Whenever your personal information is sent to or from us we ensure that the information is sent securely using the latest SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layers). This means that the information cannot be intercepted and decrypted by anyone else - for tech-heads, we use a variable SSL encryption at 128 to 40 bit dependant on the browser capabilities. All of your orders and details are kept in a secure database on our webserver and can only be accessed by key members of the Menushop staff and are not shared with anyone else.

If you double click on the padlock it will bring up more details about our security certificate including the encryption level and the fact that the certificate is in our name!

Our offices are open from 8.30am-5pm (GMT) Monday to Thursday (Friday 4pm) except for bank holidays.

Why do we have a privacy policy?

Our privacy policy describes in detail how we will use the personal information you provide when we provide goods or services.  We will also explain how you can exercise your rights in respect to your personal information.

In the course of our dealings with you, we will collect personal information in order to provide the best service to you and to support our ongoing relationship with you.  We are committed to protecting your privacy and we will only use your information in accordance to the General Protection Regulation (GDPR 2018).

What personal information do we collect?

When you sign up to one of our services or make a purchase, we ask for the below personal information which is stored securely.

  • Your purchase history (after your first order)

This information is only used to successfully complete orders and is required to set up your account; we never retain any payment information on our website.

We use analytics to track who visits our site and what they look at to help provide a better service to our customers.  When you visit our site your IP address (your computer’s unique ID) is automatically logged by our server.  

While browsing our site your navigation data is collected by cookies to improve your experience when using our site.  These cookies also allow you to save the time and effort of re-entering your details each time you return to our site.  Please note that when you first visit our site you can accept or decline this data collection.

What do we do with your information?

Any and all data collected by us will be used in accordance to GDPR laws and any other applicable privacy laws.

The information you provide when visiting our site will be used to:

You are within your rights to request any personal information we may hold on you.  This request can be made online using “contact us” or by contacting our customer service team.  Once we have received your request we will ask to confirm your identity and will provide you with the requested information within 30 days.

You also have the right to unsubscribe to any and all marketing material we provide.  This can be done easily by using the “unsubscribe” link on any of our emails, alternatively you can contact our customer service team.

If our privacy policies should change we will update this section and notify you so that you are always aware and up to date.  Our privacy policy will be seen to be in effect from the moment it has been posted on our website.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The terms of the contract do not affect your statutory rights.
  2. All Prices shown exclude VAT.
  3. Returned or represented cheques will be charged a £10.00 administration fee.
  4. Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice.
  5. Claims arising from shortages or damages must be made within 3 days upon receipt of the goods. Damaged/shortage of parcels must be signed for as damaged/parcel shortage.
  6. Goods dispatched to a third party are at your own risk.
  7. Goods remain the property of The Menu Shop until full payment has been received. All goods are subject to delivery costs unless prior notice of collection from our premises is given.

Your right to cancel your order: cancellation notice

Unpersonalised Goods - Under the Consumer Protection Act, "Distance Selling Regulations 2000", you (the consumer) have the right to cancel your order for unpersonalised goods within a 7 working day period. The cancellation period starts from the day the order is placed.

Personalised goods - You are able to cancel you order for personalised goods at any point prior to production. Cancelled orders are liable for charges equivalent to artwork and plate costs that Menushop has already incurred.

You (the consumer) are required to send a written cancellation notice; this includes fax or email. A telephone call is not sufficient.

If your goods have already been delivered and you wish to cacnel your order please see 'Returns' below.

Returns

Personalised goods - Personalised items may only be returned if they are damaged or faulty.

You must notify us within three days of receipt if your product arrives faulty or in a damaged condition. This notification must be made to us in writting (letter, fax or email) to avoid uncertainty. Upon receipt of your return notice our sales team will contact you to arrange collection and replacement.

Thereafter we accept no responsibility as goods may have been damaged after arrival. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Unpersonalised goods - If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you can return it to us within 7 days of receipt.

All goods should be returned in their original packaging and in re-saleable condition in order to qualify for credit. To ensure your return is identified and processed quickly please contact our sales team for a returns note prior to returning the goods.

We reserve the right to charge, where applicable, a 20% restocking fee. Original carriage charges will not be credited.

Damaged or faulty goods must be notified to us within three days of receipt. Our sales team will then contact you to arrange collection and replacement.

Thereafter we accept no responsibility as goods may have been damaged after arrival. This does not affect your statutory rights.
